Watercolor Paintings of Pristine Wilderness

MORNING IN MAY, KC BENSON STUDIO

KC Benson of Taos, New Mexico is an artist whose work is exquisitely portrayed
in his watercolor paintings of wilderness and nature. KC Benson Watercolors
can be seen at his studio and Gallery and at Brazos Fine Art Gallery in Taos and also at The Link Gallery in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

KC was born in Wyoming, lived most of his life in Colorado and now resides in Taos, New Mexico. Continuing in the ambiance of the Taos Founders, his unique style of representational landscapes reflects a deep appreciation of wilderness inspired by the sacred beauty of the Southwest and Rocky Mountain region.

KC paints alla prima - without drawing - and entirely with transparent watercolor. His paintings express and suggest the serenity and uniqueness of the moment in nature.

“Painters are all storytellers, in one way or another.
We begin with a blank piece of white paper, which represents
the unlimited potential in all of us for beauty, creativity and imagination.
We paint with our soul; we all came from dancers, holy ones, storytellers
and the picture makers who painted on cave walls.” KCB
